What is there to say about this elder cat? A slightly deaf, neutered tom, who spends most of his time sleeping... His owners say there is siamese in his ancestry and he certainly has a full repertoir of vocal sounds. A very loud demand for food that sounds like panic and a loud but softer tone when he meets someone he knows and expects to petted.
Originally his agressive behaviour to cats in his neighbourhood was an issue as he vigorously set about defending his territory. However over the last few years, and with losing a few fights, he now at least tolerates the presence of other cats walking past.
He is also too old to want to play, though we have tried, and he looks on birds with only minor interest.
In spite of his age, he remains an inquisative cat, wandering round the neighbourhood. If someone is topping up their windscreen washer fluid, he will be there, jumping up on the engine to see the action. You can also be assured of his presence if there is a barbecue. A loving soul, he'll gladly take you up on a warm and comfortable spot for a doze.
